Drawing lessons from others (‘ibrah) is an essential quality for a believer. This lecture emphasized the importance of benefiting from the good found in others, and refraining from focusing on their faults.  Spiritual growth is nurtured through mindfulness, gratitude, and maintaining a positive outlook towards people.
