Allah Ta’ala says:
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَنتُمُ الْفُقَرَاءُ إِلَى اللَّهِ
.O People you are needy/dependent upon Allah Ta’ala
(Suratul Fatir, verse: 15)
The entire creation is actually dependent on Allah Ta’ala for everything. Allah has granted us the mode of du’a to ask from Him for all our needs. Our hands are begging bowls.
وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ
.And Your Rabb said, Call upon Me, I will respond to you
(Suratul Ghafir, verse: 60)
