The Dangerous Malady of Hardened Hearts

Being neglectful of Allah Ta’ala as well as overindulgence in sin, causes the heart to harden. This results in one not taking effect from any advise or admonition.
A hard heart is cursed, and is far from Allah Ta’ala’s mercy.
