Niyyah is essential for every action in Islam. Without the correct intention, deeds may be void, and rewards may be lost. In a famous Hadith it is mentioned:

إنما الأعمال بالنيات

All actions are rewarded according to the intentions
(Sahih Bukhariy, Hadith: 1)

This Hadith emphasizes that actions are judged by intentions, and this applies to every aspect of Din.

By learning the virtues of various acts and having multiple intentions for a single deed, a believer can transform ordinary actions into a source of immense reward.
