Shaykh Muhammad ‘Awwamah (hafizahullah) says:
“To cultivate the next generation of ‘Ulamā is extremely essential. Of course, death is an inevitable reality, yet pious successors are still a necessity. It is imperative that we produce scholars who are completely devoted to knowledge — those who will breathe and live solely for this sacred cause. This will be achieved by securing their livelihood and freeing them for the sake of knowledge. Sadly, there is a profound lack of awareness regarding this. There are many generous individuals who rush to construct Masjids when asked to; just as is the case when they are summoned to sponsor an orphan, etc. Yet, the call to construct an academic institution or to sponsor a student of knowledge does not enjoy the same urgency.”

Reflection
For years, Shaykh (hafizahullah) has echoed this urgent call, hoping to see the Ummah receive capable heirs to a generation of senior scholars that is quickly passing from this temporary abode.
May Allah Ta’ala make it a reality.
